Brady Corp. manufactures and markets specialty materials and identification solutions that identify and protect premises, products and people. The company operates its business through two segments: Identification Solutions and Workplace Safety. The Identification Solutions segment manufactures proprietary products include labels & signs, safety devices and printing systems & software. Its facility identification includes safety signs, pipe markers, labeling systems, spill control products and lockout/tagout devices; product identification, such as materials & printing systems, brand protection labeling, work in process labeling, and finished product identification; and wire identification consists of hand-held printers, wire markers, sleeves and tags. This segment also consists of people identification, which includes self-expiring name tags, badges, lanyards, and access control software; and patient identification, such as wristbands and labels used in hospitals for tracking and safety of patients. The Workplace Safety segment offers safety and compliance products, including informational signs, tags, security, safety & traffic compliance related products, first aid supplies, material handling, asset identification, safety & facility identification and workplace regulatory products. Brady serves the electronics, telecommunications, manufacturing, electrical, construction, education, medical aerospace and a variety of other industries. The company was founded by William H. Brady Jr. in 1914 and is headquartered in Milwaukee, WI.
