The company's vessel provides LNG shipping, storage and regasification services to LNG industry. It develops FSRU projects based on the conversion of existing LNG Carriers. The company operates its business through two business segments: Vessel Operations and Commodity Trading. The Vessel Operations segment owns and operates LNG carriers on fixed terms to customers. The Commodity Trading provides physical and financial risk management in LNG and gas markets for its customers. This segment's activities include structured services to outside customers, arbitrage service as well as proprietary trading. Golar LNG was founded on May 10, 2001 and is headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda.
