Hecla Mining Co. is a precious metals company, which discovers, acquires, develops, produces and markets silver, gold, lead and zinc. The company operates through the following business segments: Greens Creek, Lucky Friday and Casa Berardi. The Greens Creek segment owns silver, gold, lead, and zinc underground mining operation is located in Southeast Alaska. The Lucky Friday silver segment is located in one of the world's most prolific silver-producing districts: northern Idaho's Silver Valley. The Casa Berardi segment provides an underground gold mine located in western Quebec. Its also mine site exploration, Hecla has three major exploration projects, Silver Valley in northern Idaho, San Juan Silver Joint Venture in Creede, Colorado, and San Sebastian in Durango, Mexico. Hecla Mining was founded by Amasa Campbell, Patsy Clark and John Finch on October 14, 1891 and is headquartered in Coeur d'Alene, ID.
