The company's products comprises of chemicals and formulations, which it markets to a diversified group of consumer and industrial customers. Its products are used in a wide range of applications, including adhesives, aerospace, automotive, construction products, durable and non-durable consumer products, electronics, medical, packaging, paints and coatings, power generation, refining, synthetic fiber, textile chemicals and dye industries. The company operates through the following segments: Polyurethanes, Performance Products, Advanced Materials, Textile Effects and Pigments and Additives. The Polyurethanes segment manufactures and markets a broad range of polyurethane chemicals, including MDI products, PO, polyols, PG, TPU, aniline and MTBE. The Performance Products segment manufactures and sells amines, surfactants, LAB and maleic anhydride to a wide variety of consumer and industrial end markets. The Advanced Materials segment manufactures and markets technologically advanced basic liquid and solid epoxy resins, specialty resin compounds, cross-linking, matting and curing agents, epoxy, acrylic and polyurethane-based polymer products. The Textile Effects segment provides market share for textile chemicals and dyes. The Pigments segment manufactures and markets titanium dioxide, functional additives, color pigments, timber treatment and water treatment chemicals. Huntsman was founded on October 19, 2004 and is headquartered in Salt Lake City, UT.
