It operates through the following segments: Industrial Process, Motion Technologies, Interconnect Solutions, and Control Technologies. The Industrial Process segment manufactures engineered fluid process equipment which serves various customers in global infrastructure industries such as oil and gas, mining, power generation, chemical and other process markets and also provides aftermarket services. The Motion Technologies segment manufactures brake pads, shock absorbers, and damping technologies for the global automotive, truck, trailer, and public bus and rail transportation markets. The Interconnect Solutions segment manufactures a wide range of highly specialized connector products that make it possible to transfer signal and power in various electronic devices that are utilized in aerospace and defense; industrial and transportation; oil and gas; and medical markets. The Control Technologies segment manufactures specialized equipment which includes actuation, valves, switches, vibration isolation, custom-energy absorption, and regulators for the aerospace and defense, and industrial markets. The company was founded by Sosthenes Behn and Hernand Behn in 1920 and is headquartered in White Plains, NY.
