Reinsurance Group of America, Inc. is an insurance holding company that engages in the provision of traditional and non-traditional life and health reinsurance products. It operates through the following geographical segments: United States and Latin America; Canada; Europe, Middle East, and Africa; Asia Pacific; and Corporate and Other. The United States and Latin America segment provides traditional life, long-term care, group life and health reinsurance, annuity, and financial reinsurance products. The Canada segment provides insurers with reinsurance of traditional life products, creditor reinsurance, group life and health reinsurance, non-guaranteed critical illness products, and longevity reinsurance. The Europe, Middle East, and Africa segment includes a variety of life and health products, critical illness, and longevity business. The Asia Pacific segment offers life, critical illness, disability income, superannuation, and financial reinsurance. The Corporate and Other segment comprises RGA Technology Partners, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary that develops and markets technology solutions for the insurance industry, interest expense related to debt and the investment income, and expense associated with the company's collateral finance facility. The company was founded in 1973 and is headquartered in Chesterfield, MO.
