The company offers financial management solutions, including modular fund accounting systems for government agencies and not-for-profit entities; and utility billing systems to support the billing and collection of metered and non-metered services. The company operates through two segments: Enterprise Software Solutions and Appraisal & Tax Software Solutions & Services. The Enterprise Software Solutions segment provides municipal and county governments and schools with software systems to meet their information technology and automation needs for mission-critical 'back-office' functions such as financial management and courts and justice processes. The Appraisal and Tax Software Solutions and Services segment provides systems and software that automate the appraisal and assessment of real and personal property as well as property appraisal outsourcing services for local governments and taxing authorities. Tyler Technologies was founded in 1966 and is headquartered in Dallas, TX.
