The company also offers self-performed construction services, which include excavation, concrete forming and placement, steel erection, electrical and mechanical services, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. It operates though the following segments: Civil, Building and Specialty Contractors. The Civil segment is specializes in public works construction and the repair, replacement and reconstruction of infrastructure across most of the major geographic regions of the U.S. The Building segment provides services to a number of specialized building markets for private and public works customers, including the hospitality and gaming, transportation, healthcare, municipal offices, sports and entertainment, education, correctional facilities, biotech, pharmaceutical, industrial and high-tech markets. The Specialty Contractors segment specializes in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection systems, and pneumatically placed concrete for a full range of civil and building construction projects in the industrial, commercial, hospitality and gaming, and mass transit end markets, among others. Tutor Perini was founded by Bonfiglio Perini in 1894 and is headquartered in Sylmar, CA.
