Winners For Guess The Dow Feb 21, 2014
In January we had a Guess The Dow contest to guess the closing value of the DJIA as of today, Feb 21, 2014. A histogram of guesses was created after the closing of the entry period, and today we know who won.
We Had A Tie!
The actual closing value was 16103.30 today, up from 15698.85 on January 31 when the entry period closed. Not one, but two people guessed closest with 16104.00.
To break the tie we went with date of entry, with one of them placing their guess 7 days earlier than the other (and the earlier guess wins).
Congrats to Charles Johnson for coming within 70 cents of the actual closing value a month in advance! Charles will be enjoying a 3-month free subscription to Born To Sell.
Runner-up Michael Pollard also guessed 16104.00, but did so a week later than Charles. However, we are giving Michael a 1-month free subscription as a runner-up prize.
Random Drawing
In addition to the "coming the closest" prizes, we gave prizes to 4 random drawings among everyone who entered. Each of these 4 covered call investors receives a 1-month free subscription to Born To Sell from the random drawing:
